Wildacres Flute Retreat Code of Ethics

-----

The Wildacres Flute Retreat is committed to fostering an environment where every person is treated with courtesy, fairness, and respect. Our faculty, staff, and attendees are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and personal integrity. We promote conditions that ensure the rights, safety, and well-being of all people involved in the retreat’s activities.

Flutists under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a parent or guardian sign and submit the Parental Consent Form.

The Wildacres Flute Retreat has always been committed to a positive and uplifting experience and opposes all negative and degrading behavior. The Participant Safety Representative and the Director deal with all infractions of this code. Anyone who feels threatened or unsafe should bring their concerns to the attention of the Participant Safety Representative or the Director, and they will act promptly and effectively to resolve any violations of the Code of Ethics.

Nobody under the legal drinking age of 21 is permitted to consume alcoholic beverages. Everybody over 21 who wishes to use alcoholic beverages is expected to exercise moderation and to maintain high levels of awareness, judgment, and conduct.

The Wildacres Flute Retreat welcomes people of all races, ethnicities, religions, creeds, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, physical abilities, ages, social, economic, and educational backgrounds. Our commonality is our love of music in general and flute playing in particular.
